Nothing inspires the heart more than strong words. The Gettysburg address saved this great nation, the words of Mark Anthony (about Julius Caesar) moved a city and great minds have ventured into and succeeded in the daunting task of fueling creativity and success by the power of their words.
For this blogger it is the inspiring words of Rudyard Kipling that races his heart to reach out and make a quantum leap.
If you can dream – and not make dreams your master…
If you can think – and not make thoughts your aim…
If you can meet with triumph and disaster – And treat those two imposters just the same….
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, Or walk with kings – nor lose the common touch…
If you can fill the unforgiving minute with sixty seconds’ worth of distance run –
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it
Humans are endowed with the awesome ability to reason. It is the one psychological sense that differentiates us from all of the Lord’s creations. But a quality as powerful as reason comes with the sharp edge of doubt. And so, for every good reason that one thinks of a noble or great action, there is an equally compelling doubt that weighs down the effort. Great souls like Abraham Lincoln or Mahatma Gandhi fought through this tussle within themselves to show the indomitable spirit that lies within us…and it is this discovery that will set us on the path of greatness. When we finally embark on that discovery, the destination is our imagination and the journey becomes exhilarating to the human soul…and that is when we are truly inspired.
Inspiration is what the heart yearns for, and it is inspiration that pushes one skyward in his/her efforts.
This blog will cover everything that happens in this world – from Baseball to Politics to Current events to History to human emotions and struggles and stay true to find inspiration.
